E-mail / Postal Questioning

During this kind of survey questionnaires are sent by mail (or e-mail). The questionnaire is completed by the respondent and then sent back to the research company. It helps to keep the confidentiality of information and to avoid the interviewer bias. Also, it allows the respondent to choose a convenient time and place for the completion of the questionnaire.

Postal questioning is applied in national population, target group (for example, University graduates of year 2000), customer, or consumer surveys. The e-mail questioning (read more about online surveys here) is applied in certain segment or target group surveys (for example, consumer satisfaction evaluation surveys).
